Philosophie embraces this philosophy and will add unique and sustainable products from all over the world to her portfolio constantly. 

Philosophie was founded in April 2008 by Sophie Vos-Kooistra while she was living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Since 2010 Sophie and her family have lived in Toronto (Canada), Cape Town (South Africa), Johannesburg (South Africa) and are currently living in Laren (The Netherlands) Wherever Sophie lives or travels, she is always looking for unique products to add to the Philosophie collection. 
In 2020 Sophie started Philosophie Interior. Philosophie Interior advises businesses on sustainable interior design. Currently Philosophie Interior is advising a new dutch co-living platform on the furnishing of their real estate portfolio.
